Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 29 April 2026

This page explains how to delete data BlackBook has stored about you, including data imported from connected accounts such as Instagram and TikTok.

Deleting data imported from Instagram or TikTok

To delete content BlackBook has imported from your Instagram or TikTok account:

  1. Open the BlackBook app on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts.
  3. Tap the X next to Instagram or TikTok and confirm.

This permanently deletes:

  • All posts and videos imported into BlackBook (cover images, captions, media URLs)
  • The access token BlackBook holds for that connected account
  • All metadata derived from that account
  • Any sync history relating to that account

The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Deleting your entire BlackBook account

To remove every piece of data BlackBook holds about you (including any imported third-party content):

  1. Open the BlackBook app.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm.

This permanently deletes your profile, all uploaded media, all imported third-party media, all comments, saved items, messages, and authentication tokens.

Revoking BlackBook's access on the platform side

You can also revoke BlackBook's access directly from Instagram or TikTok at any time:

This invalidates the access token but does not by itself delete already-imported content stored in BlackBook. To fully remove that content, also use the in-app disconnect or Delete Account flow above.
